Selecting ALL CAPS, under the Type menu, will display and print your database field in all uppercase characters. The Edit Text box and data file content will not be effected by selecting ALL CAPS.
When ALL CAPS is not selected, the text will print as it was originally typed.
Using ALL CAPS helps facilitate the sorting and distribution of your mail since the Optical Character Readers at the Postal Service read all uppercase characters with the least amount of difficulty.
Ideally, the USPS would like all mailing addresses to be flush left, all capital letters, and without punctuation.
